What benefits do I have as a volunteer?

As a volunteer firefighter, you are entitled to a number a benefits from several different sources. 

Benefits through Clarendon County

• Volunteer firefighters receive a $5.00 per call reimbursement for travel expenses associated with responding to emergencies in their personal vehicles.  This reimbursement is distributed quarterly.
• The fire department provides each firefighter with modern personal protective equipment and a pager for notification of emergency calls.
• The fire department provides each firefighter with an annual physical.
• The fire department pays the membership dues for each firefighter to the South Carolina Firefighters' Association and the Pee Dee Firefighters' Association.
• The fire department pays the fees associated with training at the South Carolina Fire Academy and other training venues.
